“Flowering Plants of the San Bernardino Mountains”

Robert Reed, director of the Heaps Peak Arboretum, takes us on an incredible photographic journey in "Flowering Plants of the San Bernardino Mountains."
This book represents six years of dedicated photography in the quest to present many of our mountain's most beautiful plants to the public. This field guide was developed to share his passion for the plant world with others and is an important resource for wildflower enthusiasts and botanists alike.

This is the definitive field guide for trees and large shrubs in our mountains. Botanically identified including family, soft-bound, 108 pages, 49 plants illustrated and described at the taxonomic level of species, and two at the taxonomic level of genus. All plants are hand drawn by local artists. $16.00 (includes shipping and handling).

“Wildflowers of the San Bernardino Mountains”

Excellent field guide. 37 pages with 110 plants illustrated. Includes: color of plant, blooming period, height, habitat, and identification by genus and species. All drawings are by local artists. Soft cover. $12.00 (includes shipping and handling).

Illustrates various large and small mammals, over 100 birds, and 13 reptiles. 22” X 28” Very suitable for framing, especially for “birders.” Excellent source for identifying birds in our local mountains. $12.00 (includes shipping and handling).

“Trails to Hike”

This is a handy pocket guide to our local mountain trails, including the areas of Lake Arrowhead, Deep Creek, Green Valley, Crab Flats, and parts of the Pacific Crest Trail. Price: $1.00

Wildflower Seeds

We make available in the Spring and Fall wildflower seed packets with such plants as California poppies, penstemon, lupine, phacelia, and a wildflower mix. Subject to seasonal availability. Price: $1.00

Heaps Peak Patch

We offer a colorful blue patch which can be sewn on backpacks and clothing and depicts our logo.
